BIO
Jenny Naish was born in London, Ontario, Canada, in 1973, under the influence of her gifted musical father, mother, brother and sister.
She was schooled just north of there, in a small town called Arva. Wonderful music & drama teachers at Centennial Central School and the direction of conductor extraodinare Ken Fleet at Medway Highschool Jenny played and sang at a young age. In grade 11, at 15, she was chosen with her trombone to participate in OSLC, a student leadership course, where she met other young music students like Andrew Downing, the amazing Toronto jazz bassist. She picked up guitar when she was 16 to help entertain the summer camp crowd after meals and around campfires and went on to study environmental science & then theatre under the direction of Charlie Tomlinson at the The University of Western Ontario, where she graduated with a BA in English in 1995. Coffee shops, hostess jobs, restaurants, pub server, receptionist jobs later,
in London & then Toronto, until Jenny left the mainland to perform her one person show 'What If I Trip' in Newfoundland. Jenny never looked back and has called St.John's home since October 15, 1999.

Recently, Jenny has enjoyed playing and singing in various spots around town including Erin's Pub, The Ship Inn, and the bottom of the court house steps. Most Tuesdays you will find her blowing her whistle down at the Erin's Pub traditional Slow Session.
Most recently in theatre, Jenny performed at The Cut-Offs Caberet play readings that opened the St.John's Short Play festival at the LSPU Hall this past September where she debuted a bit called 42, inspired by her last place finish in the festival's entrance lottery.
